2017 Clinical Engineering Training Day
The NZIHE has organized a FREE Clinical Engineering Training Day with trainers Camellia Tsui and Paul Groot Obbink.

Where: Scenic Circle Southern Cross Hotel, Dunedin
Camellia Tsui is a service engineer for Medtronic. Camellia has worked at Covidien (previously known as Tyco Healthcare), and was a biomedical technician at Nepean hospital in Sydney Australia. She studied electrical engineering at University of Sydney.
For the Clinical Engineering Training Day, Camellia will be covering electrosurgery and specifically the FT10 generator.
Paul Groot Obbink has 12 years’ experience as a field support engineer with Philips Healthcare, and has been a Technical Training Specialist, with their Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions department for four years.
Paul has a BEng (Electronic Engineering) H1 and is a Certified CT++ Technical Trainer.
For the Clinical Engineering Training Day, Paul will be looking at ‘Foetal Wireless transducers: Implications of a Mixed Fleet’ and will be covering:
Theory of Operation CTS (Cordless Telemetry System)
Theory of Operation CL (Cable Less)
Setting up CL
Configuration of CTS to coexist with CL
